The Pilgrim's Pots and Pans

I really, really do need to finish my draft posts. It’s the last quarter of the year and I don’t want to be dealing with backlog in 2007, hehehe! I should be done with the memes with this one. The beautiful Iska tagged me with Food meme around the world. Here are my answers:

1. Please list three recipes you have recently bookmarked from foodblogs to try. I have a long list of bookmarked recipes for a long time now. Notice two out of three are sweet and they’ve always been passed over because I tend to favour savoury over sweet. I promised myself I’ll work on them before Christmas. Here are three in order of priority:
   • Niki’s Lemon Butter or Lemon Curd – I found out it’s actually a recipe for lime butter. It’s just perfect since limes are literally falling from trees here.
   • Chanit’s Challah (plaited Sabbath loaf) – It would be lovely to be reminded of the food from the kibbutz in the Arava desert. Each meal was sumptuous but it was especially so during on Shabat dinners (we were allowed to participate). The carbo-loader remembers the bread fondly, of course.
   • Zoubida’s Morning Glory Muffins – I’ve baked carrot cake and carrot muffins. A friend once told me putting in some apple makes it/them extra moist. I was planning on experimenting with a recipe when I saw Zoubida’s. Looks like something I would love to have for breakfast!
2. A foodblog in your vicinity. Oooppsss, I haven’t checked lately.
3. A foodblog located far from you. Cooking Diva! She’s in Panama and sometimes all over South America. She never fails to impress me with her sometimes exotic, sometimes familiar (to the Filipino) stories and recipes.
4. A foodblog (or several) you have discovered recently (where did you find it?).
   • The Old Foodie – food history, historical recipes and many more from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Quite an engaging read. I’m not done with her archives yet.
   • Lucy’s Kitchen Notebook – wonderful topics, beautiful prose, written from Lyon, France.
5. Any people or bloggers you want to tag with this meme? Like the previous one, I’ve let this stay with me for too long. I think it has gone around through the blogs I know. Leave me a message if you want to accomplish it. I’ll be thrilled to read your answers.
