I tried this Beef Bulgogi Onigirazu from the 7-Eleven across our office building. It’s meaty and has enough greens, the rice is dense yet tender.
Cutting into the rice is the salty, sweet, and spicy blend of the bulgogi plus the freshness of the lettuce. This is enough for a snack or a light lunch. I would get this again.
But what does onigirazu mean? It’s my first time encountering the term. I found out it is something like an onigiri – a rice ball – but it is flat, like a sandwich. This made me curious about the different forms of Japanese rice balls – some had the same names and referred to the same thing. Something to study more seriously in the future.
